Due to various commitments, I could only get out with the camera on the morning of the 6th January, and as I have never visited Loughrigg Fell I decided to visit this location.
I did my research and checked the weather forecast which was not that good, it showed low cloud with little wind, and a slight chance of rain, however I decided to go ahead as there are loads of positive comments about this location.
I parked the car the White Moss Car Park nice and early before sunrise and walked to Loughrigg Terrace from where I began my accent, and boy what an accent, or I have consumed far to much turkey, Christmas pudding and drink over the festive period?
What a slog to get up!!
Once on the summit, it was evident that this was not going to be a profitable photography visit due to the low lying cloud (with no wind to blow it away) and the poor light.
It was obvious that everyone else had heeded the weather forecast as I only met one lone fell walker and three fell runners in all the time I was up there.
I descended Loughrigg towards the Rydal caves, a slightly more gently decline than the one I went up!!
Although photographic wise, this was a poor outing due to the inclement weather conditions, but I have now identified several locations worth a future visit.
