Its been two weeks since I have managed to get out with the camera, so on Saturday, I reviewed the weather forecast, which was not ideal, but we set off for Wast Water, as we got the Gosforth the heavens opened, we decided to press on, but the rain became heavier.
A last minute change of plan was decided upon, lets go over Hard Knott Pass and try to find some atmospheric images on the way.
Unfortunately the rain became more intense so no chance of any images, we went through the Langdale Valley, but no luck, so we headed home.
on Sunday we awoke to blue sky's but very strong winds, having failed miserably the day before, we decided to head to Derwent water for a leisurely walk around part of the lake.
Again the clouds rolled in has we reached Bassenthwaite Lake, but we pressed on and parked below Cat Bells.
We walked down to the lakes shore and proceeded to walk from Brandelhow Jetty towards Ladore Hotel, looking for compositions along the way. The wind was howling and it was bitterly cold.
I captured a couple of images along the way, but upon reviewing these only one was of any quality.
Just shows, landscape photography can be a frustrating and time consuming hobby, still it got us out of the house into the fresh air, and a views of the lovely landscape we live in.
